Software Engineers
Position
As a Software Engineer, you will be engaged in developing, refining, and enhancing features in OPNET’s suite of performance monitoring solutions, focused on OPNET SLA Commander for actively monitored servers. You'll work with Web application monitoring technology, including Web Services, Java Enterprise Edition, and advanced Browser analytics.
Qualifications
Here’s what you should bring to the table:
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
- Emphasis on commercial product development and software engineering principles
- Strong knowledge of J2SE and multi-tier web application environments for UNIX and Windows 2000/XP/2003
- Proficient with Java for writing server-based applications
- Proficient in C/C++ server systems software is helpful
- Experience developing multi-threaded, event-driven systems is very helpful
- Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL database design and tuning expertise is desirable.
- Must be motivated to have an impact on our products, our company, and the state of the art.
