Product Engineers
We are seeking outstanding and motivated engineers to enhance our software quality assurance team. Job responsibilities include testing and validating simulation models integral to the OPNET model library, maintaining and expanding existing infrastructure used for software testing, maintaining and implementing automated testing infrastructure, and building software for internal and external releases. The OPNET model library includes models for all major protocols and technologies.
At OPNET's Model Research and Development Group, you will work with the most accomplished engineers in the field of network modeling and security analysis. The world's leading networking companies, network management organizations, and network consultants, rely on OPNET's unique modeling capabilities to prototype technologies before production and deployment; drive rapid resolution of application and network performance problems; and, even more importantly, proactively prevent problems from occurring. Qualifications
Here’s what you should bring to the table:
- BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or equivalent experience
- A solid background and/or strong interest in networking
- Experience working on multiple environments – Linux, Windows, and Solaris
- Experience with C/C++ software building, shell scripting, Makefiles, and software version control tools is highly desirable
- Industry standard certification in the areas of routing, switching, or security technologies is desirable
- Experience with system analysis software and projects (capacity planning, RF analysis, coverage analysis, etc.) is a plus
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and PHP is preferred
- Must be motivated to have an impact on our products, our company, and the state of the art.
