Account Executives, Panorama Sales
Position
The principal responsibilities for this position are to generate revenue from lead sources and to develop new clients in a defined region for our Panorama suite of products. OPNET’s Panorama product provides real-time performance analysis of complex applications (J2EE/.NET) by monitoring system and application metrics within each server, across all tiers. Additional tasks include:
- Prospecting, cold calling, and producing quality leads
- Analyzing customer needs in terms of current business objectives
- Presenting and articulating advanced product features, benefits, and overall product solutions
- Aggressively following up on leads and closing new account business.
- Engaging in regular monthly and quarterly business reviews and weekly forecast activities
- Meeting and exceeding revenue goals on a quarterly and annual basis.

Qualifications
Here’s what you should bring to the table:
- BA/BS degree with 3+ years relevant outside sales experience or extensive inside sales experience within the software industry.
- Experience selling application or system performance management solutions for J2EE and/or .NET.
- Experience calling on software QA and test organizations.
- Strong understanding of distributed software development methodologies.
- Familiarity with the leading software testing solutions.
- Experience selling application availability and response time monitoring solutions.
- An ability to present effectively, and to sell, to high-level, Fortune 500 accounts.
- Must be motivated to have an impact on our products, our company, and the state of the art.
