Training Engineers
In both large hands-on classrooms, and one-on-one settings, you will be responsible for training our expanding user base.
OPNET’s products involve modeling, simulation, analysis, and troubleshooting of networks and applications, so you will be well versed in many of our technology solutions. You will have the opportunity to train our clients to analyze real-world applications and networks using the industry’s best state-of-the-art software.
Your responsibilities will be to develop innovative educational coursework, and teach this coursework to clients. Much of the training will be performed at our Bethesda HQ training facility; a couple times a month you will need to travel to client sites to perform on-site training.
Qualifications
Here’s what you should bring to the table:
- A technical degree with knowledge of applications, networking, and communications systems
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including technical presentation skills, especially as a classroom instructor
- Ability to translate technical material into real-world use cases, benefits, and scenarios that will help the user master the product’s capabilities
- Ability to create graphics that will simplify concepts and enhance the learning experience
- Ability to design hands-on lab exercises to showcase product functionality and reinforce user’s product knowledge
- Highly organized and detailed-oriented
- Ability to work independently with minimum instruction or supervision, under pressure in a multi-tasking environment
- Previous training experience is a plus
- Experience in one or more programming languages (preferably C or C++) is a plus
- Must be motivated to have an impact on our products, our company, and the state of the art.
