![]() Pre-Sales Engineers The Applications Engineering and Training division focuses on technical aspects of modeling and simulation requiring direct interaction with clients. Responsibilities include customer training, Presales support, marketing and sales demo support, web demos, and proof-of-concept model development.
Paired with a sales team, Pre-sales Engineers are the technical experts who interface with potential clients and do any technical work needed to "win the deal". Responsibilities include demonstrations, in-depth explanations of product functionality, implementation support, "proof-of-concept" projects and training. Extensive customer contact is required, both in-house and on site. Pre-sales Engineers are also the technical leaders at seminars, conferences, presentations, demos, and other customer-interaction events. Depending on which products you support, your tools will include the OPNET products themselves, a solid understanding of networking protocols and architectures, strong customer-interaction skills, and last but not least, a competitive spirit causing you to want to win every client engagement! You will be on the front lines of technical sales in a highly technical industry. Bonus compensation is awarded as a function of success. Qualifications
