![]() Pre-Sales Engineers Pre-Sales Engineers are expert users of OPNET, and work with the world's leading enterprises, government agencies, telecommunications manufacturers and service providers to apply the latest networking technologies and to better understand the technologies of tomorrow. Articulate the value and power of OPNET solutions in a wide range of scenarios, taking advantage of your engineering and communication skills. Paired with a sales team, Pre-sales Engineers are the technical experts who interface with potential clients and do any technical work needed to "win the deal". Responsibilities include demonstrations, in-depth explanations of product functionality, implementation support, "proof-of-concept" projects and training. Extensive customer contact is required, both in-house and on site. Pre-sales Engineers are also the technical leaders at seminars, conferences, presentations, demos, and other customer-interaction events. Depending on which products you support, your tools will include the OPNET products themselves, a solid understanding of networking protocols and architectures, strong customer-interaction skills, and last but not least, a competitive spirit causing you to want to win every client engagement!
